Free Relay Parkings 🅿️
In La Rochelle, five park-and-ride (P+R) sites allow you to park for free at the city’s outskirts, avoiding the hassle of the centre. Leave your vehicle there and reach downtown La Rochelle by bus, bike, scooter, skateboard, or on foot. It’s simple, clever, and good for the environment.
- Buses every 5 to 15 minutes
- Around 1,000 available spots
- Interesting rates for all passengers of the car with the “Tribu P+R” pass
🚌 Important: parking is free, but access to the bus is not.

Clever Time Slots 🕘
In town, certain time slots are free:
- Before 9:00 AM
- From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- After 6:30 PM
And that's not all: underground car parks offer 1 hour free during the day. A boon for a quick errand, lunch break, or fast stroll!
Getting around the City Centre
Free Shuttles 🚌
Since July 21, La Rochelle has introduced 100% free electric shuttles in the city centre. They were designed to facilitate short trips, especially for older people, people with reduced mobility, or those who simply prefer to avoid driving in pedestrian zones.
👉 They don't serve the park-and-ride sites, but they allow comfortable and free movement between shops and points of interest in the city centre.
