A smooth, accessible, and eco-friendly network. In La Rochelle, we love moving differently. Whether it’s heading to the market, going to the beach, or commuting to work, the Yélo buses serve the entire metropolitan area: 28 towns connected, regular timetables, and tailored routes.

Operated by Yélo, the metropolitan mobility service, the network includes:

  • 15 regular bus lines, running every 20 to 60 minutes during peak hours
  • 4 Illico lines, ultra-frequent, perfect for moving around the urban core
  • Special services: night buses, summer shuttles, on-demand transport, school routes, sea buses, downtown electric shuttle
  • Easy connections with YĂ©lo bikes, park-and-ride sites, TER trains, and ferries

Need a bus to travel between towns or head to the beaches? The 15 regular routes cover the entire area, with frequency adjusted by zone and time of day. Getting around within La Rochelle is just as easy.

In summer, Yélo adapts its routes to serve popular destinations: beaches, city centre, and Ré Island.

Fancy an island getaway? Two special routes connect La Rochelle to the entrance of RĂ© Island, running daily in summer:

Free electric shuttle in the city centre

Runs Tuesday to Saturday, every 15 minutes, 9:00 am to 7:30 pm – perfect for quick trips between major city spots.

Sail across the harbor: Les Minimes ↔ Vieux Port or use the ferry to cross the channel in minutes.

Tickets are valid across the entire network:

  • Single ticket (1h), day pass, subscription
  • Payment by bank card on board, via the app, or with the YĂ©lo card
  • Reduced fares for youth, seniors, students, and solidarity fare beneficiaries
